Westco brightens up the New Year with Cinderella |
Pantomime dames and ugly sisters amused a young and eager audience at a Riverside school thanks to a little New Year's cheer from a local company.
Penarth Road-based Westco flooring specialists annually sponsors the Kitchener Primary school's pantomime, and this year's seasonal treat – Cinderella – was no exception. Professional performers from the M&M Theatrical Productions Company visited the school to entertain the four hundred children and staff.
Kitchener Primary school's Head teacher Jane Evans said:
"The panto will round off our seasonal festivities this year and is a great way to open the new term. It's something all the children have been eagerly looking forward to and Cinderella is loved by all ages. Westco's donation has allowed us to treat the school to a pantomime for the seventh year running, something we'd never be able to afford otherwise."
Westco marketing director Nick Gibbs said:
"We're delighted to be helping out Kitchener Primary once more. The pantomime has now become a highlight in the school's calendar. Schools often have to battle hard to find vital funds and as a local business, we're happy to be able to lend our support and help inject a bit of seasonal cheer."
